Original V5 Plus issues

I just went through a similar issue tonight with my dash cam. It says “V5 Plus" near the serial number and was purchased November 2022. My cam looks like the V5C Plus, i think? Photo that matches mine below. Seems like mine must be outdated version and doesn't work well with updates listed for V5C or V5C Plus, or those updates are just garbage.

After trying firmware updates for both models above, the screen would go black while updating. The updates actually went through but then neither cabin nor rear camera would work after. I was only able to use the front facing camera, regardless of which resolution setting selected. After doing more digging, I randomly came across firmware option for a V5(T50). I couldn't find an exact picture of this model. I figured it was worth a random shot.

Using this update actually helped set the camera back to normal, besides one of the wifi options that I can't remember, maybe auto? Everything is running smoothly now. All three cameras and the wifi feature is working. Going to leave information below in hopes that it helps somebody else.

    V5 (V5C?) Plus Original Firmware: T50-1080P-20220513-V1.0

Firmware update fix after trying two others: T50-1080P-20230307-V1.0 (Rexing link below)

Download firmware file to SD card root. Turn  on camera after putting in SD card.

If screen goes black during update: Wait a couple of minutes, then unplug camera and remove SD card. Reinsert SD card and power up camera. Be sure to format the card before turning it off again.
