Cluster issue on Micro SD card
Hi all, I bought two V3’s last week and two Kingston 128gb microSD cards to install into them. Both the V3’s worked fine for a day but now one is giving me a cluster issue and prompting me to format the card. I’ve done this many times and then I decided to try and format it on my desk top, the card isn’t recognised and won’t format. I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t the camera at fault so took the working card out of the other camera and plugged into the previous camera to try and format it. No such luck and I have the same issue. Trying to figure out what the cause was I put the good card back into the good camera and now the fault is on that camera. I then checked both cards on my desktop and one isn’t working and the other is so I thought I’d use the good card to load the latest firmware onto both cameras but again the same issue and the camera won’t update. Can anyone help me remedy this? Is there a hard reset that might help in this situation? It could be the cards but also could be the cameras corrupting the cards. Thanks in advance.

Do you have the dash cam connected to your computer by USB? We recommend formatting the memory card while the dash cam is connected to your vehicle using the Rexing 12V charger or Rexing hardwire kit. I have included the instructions below.
- Be sure your unit is not recording. (Press record to stop the recording)
- Hit the menu button twice. It will say “Set Up” in the upper right corner.
- Scroll down to “format” and select “OK”
- It will say: “All Data will be deleted”. Select “OK”
- Scroll down to the “Default Setting” and select “OK”.
- Once restored, it will automatically close the menu.

Hi Jessica, yes I’ve tried all configurations but still the issue is there. I even bought two new Canvas Go MicroSD cards and tried them. Still no luck.

I just want to double-check. Are you seeing the cluster error when the dash cam is connected to your vehicle with the recommended charger or hardwire kit?

Yes, I was seeing it connected to my hardwire kit as well as desktop.

Please try resetting to factory default. The reset button is on the left side of the unit. Please let me know if that resolves the issue.

I’ve tried resetting the devices and still the same issue. I’ve even tried reducing the resolution and loop timing. By reducing the resolution, I did notice that the cameras would record a second or so more and then fail. I setup the WiFi to try and record to my phone and the red dot flashed, as if it was recording but no files were saved to the phone.

Can you please provide me with your firmware version?
Also, for the WiFi you would have to manually save files to your phone. When you click on videos can you see anything?0 -
M3AA00.660.307.190916.01 for both cameras. Ok, maybe that’s my mistake with the WiFi. There are no videos.

Are you using the 12V charger or hardwire kit to connect the V3 to our vehicle?

I’m using the hardwire kit for both vehicles.

It's the smart hardwire kit with the red and yellow fuses correct? Make sure that you have the red wire connected to an ignition switched fuse and the yellow wire to a constant fuse.

Yes, I have the smart kit. Wired up correctly.

I discussed this issue with the product development team and I was informed that the smart hardwire kit would need to be replaced. Please email care@rexingusa.com and reference this "General Discussion" and provide your current shipping address in the email.
