Windows Software install - Security questions

when i downloaded the GPS Desktop software to view my clips and see the GPS route,  I received several messages from Microsoft Defender stating this is unsafe software. Can you please confirm if this has been cyber tested for latest vulnerabilities and back doors ?  Does Rexing have a cyber insurance policy  ? How do you inform your customers of vulnerabilities and remediation steps ?
