v5 parking monitor
My new V5 is hardwired. I turned on my parking monitor for the first time last night and had the G sensitivity set to medium. When I checked my SD (256GB) card this afternoon I discovered that it was almost full and had been taking videos throughout last night. It was less than 10% used the day before turning on the parking monitor. Is this normal? I'm worried that having my parking mode on it will drain my car battery. Any advice?
I think I have figured this out. The parking monitor records continuously (while vehicle turned off and in park) and video length will vary depending on how the user sets their loop recording.
The G sensor works independently of parking mode will record a secured video in short, 20 seconds increments of time, only after being activated.

By using the smart hardwire kit and installed correctly, the camera is supposed to turn on/off with the ignition. The camera is only suppose to wake up to record when there is an impact and record for 20 seconds. It isn't normal for the V5 to continuously record overnight. If this is happening, you could have a faulty smart hardwire kit or possibly need to check the installation. There are rare occasions where the camera is defective in such a case.
