V1-4K Screen too dark, how can I brighten?

My camera seems to be working okay, except when I try to see where it's pointing. My screen is so dark that it's nearly impossible to figure out what's being recorded. I can see the screen perfectly when in setting mode, just not when it's recording. Is there any way to brighten up the screen so I can see what's being recorded? Brand new V1-4K

  Depending on your angle of view, it is normal for the screen to look a little bit dark. This is only because of the type of LCD used on the camera. That shouldn't affect the quality of the video being recorded and also when the camera is unmounted and you stare right at it, you should see a clearer video on the LCD monitor.

  It hangs from my mirror & I've tried different angles. The sky is dark blue and everything else is black or dark gray, pretty much just silhouettes.
  I'm about ready to return it and go with something other than Rexing, where I can actually see what's on the screen and adjust brightness if need be

  None of the comments above resolve the situation. If a Rexing agent or tech can give a definitive answer people will be a lot happier with this product
