V5 comes on by it's self
My V5 is hard wired using the smart cable. It is wired correctly (checked and double checked) yet it will come on without the vehicle (2020 Chev Malibu) being started. I'm wondering if OnStar may be causing it. The switched cable is on the front power plug and the full time cable is on the lumbar support.

Dear Customer,
Thanks for contacting Rexing.
The yellow wire goes to the always hot fuse and the red goes to the fuse that is on/off with ignition. Both wires have to be wired to use the parking monitor feature.
This message is just a precaution to make sure our customers are aware of needing to use the smart hardwire kit to take advantage of the parking monitor feature.
Please ignore message and press "OK" when the message pops up and continue setting up parking monitor either by selecting time lapse option or gravity sensing option.
You can then go ahead and test it by shutting off the engine for about 2 minutes and tap on the camera to simulate an impact to see if the camera awakes up to record

I have the smart hardwire kit wired properly and the camera will stay off even if I hit it hard enough to almost knock off the window. Sometimes it doesn’t even come on when the car is started sometimes it does.

I can't figure it out. I've checked the wiring now 3 times and it is correct. I guess I'll have to try and wire it without the parking mode wire or get a different camera.

Dear Customer,
Thanks for contacting Rexing.
It would be highly appreciated if you can check the G- sensor settings you are using. You can set it to High Medium or low where high means most sensitive. kindly change the settings and let us know if it helps.
If its still not helping please contact us at care@rexingusa.com
