    Thanks for the assistance.  I have tried that several times over the last few days.  No luck.  Settings still get cleaned out by either manually powering unit off/on or cycling the car ignition.

    S1 not retaining settings

    I just purchased a S1.  The settings (date, time, parking mode, video clip length) do not retain even when just powering the unit off and back on with the power button on the front.  Any ideas?
